Hello and welcome to my blog!

My name is Peter, but you should call me Cyberstorm.

This blog is a mixture of my personal life as a student (going from high school to college), and my life as a Tarutaru in the online MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI (FFXI).

Currently, I am attending college at Vermont Technical College (VTC). I will be attending for four years (assuming I don’t fuck up) in order to get my Bachelor of Software Engineering.

I used to run an old blog called the FungusAmungus Blog. I ran it with the leader of the linkshell, FungusAmungus, and her boyfriend. However, after writing a script that gave everyone in the FungusAmungus linkshell the ability to run their own Wordpress blog on this server (you can view a list of their blogs here), I took down the old blog and transfered all my posts to this one.

Way long ago, I started as a Hume on a server I don’t remember (at that time, I wasn’t aware that there were different servers). As I recall, I started as a Red Mage. I was so new to the game, I wasn’t even aware of how one obtained magic or items. I eventually quit way before my 30-day free trial ran out.

Then, on June 1st, 2004, a girl I knew named Ashley started me back up on FFXI. She got me a worldpass, which allowed me to start up the Tarutaru I play now on the Titan server. She played a male Tarutaru by the name of Fushi, and thus she was able to convince me to play a female Tarutaru.

She ran a linkshell known as LightWarriors (no, not TitanLightWarriors, that’s a different linkshell). It was there I met Rilian, Chemicalsun, Noranda, Najir, and several other people. Noranda ended up making a linkshell called FungusAmungus and we all joined that as well.

Fushi started playing less and less, to the point where she quit entirely. So the LightWarriors linkshell disbanded completely, and FungusAmungus became a full-time shell for all of us. And instead of starting a new character (because I didn’t entirely enjoy playing a female character), I just stayed with what I had, as I didn’t like the thought of losing the progress I had made (plus, I’m very lazy).

Since then, I’ve been in-and-out of a few sky linkshells, but other than that, FungusAmungus has been my home.
